The farm dates back to 1808. In 1950, my grandfather Antonio Martínez Ruiz inherited some plantations and bought the farm in which we currently work in. Antonio exported most of the coffee to Germany, however, years later, my father decided to start selling the coffee in Mexico. I started helping my father with the farm work in 2011. In this same year, we converted nine hectares of land in order to produce organic coffee. In 2014, this coffee won the fifth place in the cup of excellence, this encouraged my father to turn the rest of the farm into organic. In 2016, I became familiar with biodynamic practices due to the Biodynamic Meeting of Mexico. Following this, in 2017 we started using biodynamic practices in the farm. We inherited the Farm and change the organization focused in a lovely respect for the environment and social practices. At the present time, we work with agricultural practices, using many metrics and database to analyze the land and be more accurate and productive. We want to export some part of the coffee production, but the rest is intended to be sold in Mexico, since we want to offer Mexicans coffee of the finest quality.
