Currently the farm has seven varieties of coffee and is certified by Rainforest Alliance (RA_00009252105), Certifica Minas (467), 4C (IMOBR30019061102), Nespresso (RCM284) and RCM (458). Among the coffee varieties, Catiguá MG2 stands out the most, being crowned champion as the best arabica coffee in Brazil in 2021 in the Coffee of the Year competition and the best arabica coffee in the Cerrado Mineiro region by Emater in 2022. In 2019, the coffee from Fazenda Santigo was among the best three coffees in Brazil and the best 40 in the world in the Illy competition.
Not able to lose the tradition, the coffee chosen to participate in the Cup of Excellence was Catiguá MG2 – after picking, the coffee was washed to remove floaters and then taken to the asphalt patio for drying. The beans were spread thinly for three days and then piled to homogenize and slow down the drying. Coffee at Fazenda Santiago is cultivated with the maximum of care and attention so the correct flavor and aroma reach your table with the best quality possible!
