My coffee production journey began 11 years ago when my wife and I decided to embark on this project. Our inspiration came from recognizing the high quality of our coffee and seeking an alternative that would allow us to showcase its unique qualities. That's how we ventured into the world of specialty coffee, discovering a universe of fascinating flavors and aromas that immediately captivated us.
From the beginning, we set out to learn and improve in every aspect of the production process. We focused on selecting the appropriate varieties and innovating at each stage, always with the goal of offering our customers an unparalleled experience. It wasn't an easy path, as we encountered significant challenges along the way.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was replacing all existing crops to strive for the highest quality. Additionally, we experienced harvest losses due to storage issues and ash and acid rain from the Poás volcano. However, we never gave up. Driven by our love for coffee, we maintained a firm determination to move forward.
My family has a long tradition in coffee production. I am the third generation of producers, and since I was a child, I worked alongside my father and siblings in coffee cultivation, following the traditions and love for this product. After my father's death 22 years ago, we continued with traditional cultivation, preserving the knowledge and values passed down over the years.
What sets us apart as coffee producers is our dedication to sustainability and respect for the environment. Our family farms practice responsible coffee farming, avoiding soil and natural resource pollution. Additionally, we value the relationship with our suppliers, paying them a fair price that allows them to improve their living conditions and those of their families.
Our coffee beans are unique and special due to the care and passion we dedicate to each stage of their process. Every bean is treated with delicacy and attention, resulting in a balanced, smooth, and delicious coffee. Each sip is a sensory experience that transports you to a world of sensations.
As coffee producers, our core values and principles are sustainability, environmental responsibility, and the well-being of our employees. We work hard to be an environmentally friendly farm, implementing practices such as recycling, responsible water and energy usage. We also value and take care of our employees, providing them with training, supplying them with necessary equipment, and ensuring a positive work environment.
Furthermore, we have implemented special initiatives on our farm, such as the ecological blue flag program, which has allowed us to be recognized by the government for our efforts in environmental conservation and rational resource usage. We take pride in sharing this certification and are open to inviting other companies and farms in the community to join our environmental care project.
Our long-term vision as coffee producers is to become a benchmark for quality and sustainability in the market. We aim to offer our customers exceptional coffee that provides them with a unique and pleasurable experience while respecting the environment and the people involved in its cultivation. One of our dreams is to establish a coffee shop where we can share our passion for coffee and offer tours of our facilities and farms, educating people about high-quality coffee consumption.
In summary, my story as a coffee producer began 11 years ago when my wife and I decided to seek an alternative to highlight the quality of our coffee. Throughout the years, we have faced challenges, but we have never given up on our love for coffee and our determination to provide our customers with a unique experience. Our core values revolve around sustainability, respect for the environment, and the well-being of our employees. Our long-term vision is to become a reference for quality and sustainability in the coffee industry, offering exceptional coffee and promoting environmental care.
