My story as a coffee producer dates back to my childhood when my father taught me how to work in the coffee fields. It was in 2009 that we, as a family, decided to venture into the world of specialty coffee and give it the recognition it deserves. With the help of God, we have grown and expanded into the most demanding coffee markets, experimenting with different varieties and processes.
The biggest challenge I have faced as a coffee producer is dealing with low prices and changes in farm work and processing. Every detail is crucial to obtain high-quality coffee, and each aspect must be differentiated. However, we have overcome these challenges by focusing on excellence and striving to stand out in every coffee we produce.
Our farm, Finca Macho, was acquired in 2003. Over time, we have progressed and added lands such as Finca Santa Rosa 1900, Finca La Plaza, El Trapiche, and Finca Evangelista. All this growth has been the result of working together with God and the Blessed Virgin Mary, who have accompanied us on our journey. Our processing facility has been in the specialty coffee industry for 14 years, and we take pride in being part of this world.
What sets us apart as coffee producers is our commitment to putting God first and following His will. We recognize that this land belongs to us as stewards, and we strive to please God in everything we do. Our innovative processes and emphasis on highlighting the unique qualities of each coffee also differentiate us as a company.
Our core values are based on God and our collaborators. Working the land is a blessing that we carry out with passion and dedication to improve every day. We value our collaborators and provide them with opportunities for growth and learning in the areas they wish to excel in.
From the beginning, we have supported community projects and provided sustenance to many local families. We acknowledge the effort and support of our collaborators and consider their projects as our own. It brings us joy to see the growth and development in our community.
Our long-term vision is to continue growing in terms of production and quality while collaborating with the community and different entities. We entrust our projects to God and trust that He will guide our path in the world of specialty coffee. We want to improve, establish ourselves, and leave a legacy for future generations. We aspire to expand our market, establish long-term relationships, and participate in barista competitions, tastings, and events. We seek to keep improving and have faith in our future in the coffee industry.
In summary, my story as a coffee producer is based on the passion for coffee that my father instilled in me from a young age. With the help of God, we have grown and stood out in the specialty coffee market. We have overcome challenges, worked as a team, and valued our principles and collaborators.
