Yetsin grew up around coffee, so for him, it is a way to keep the heritage alive. Being a fourth-generation producer has helped him to ignite the passion that being a coffee producer requires. He began producing specialty coffee around 2012 when his father let him administrate one of his estates. In 2014, he became the owner of the farm “La Pila,” previously owned by his father. Since then, he has thrived in trying to ensure that the nutritional value of the land is up to par with the needs that his coffee has. This is the 4th time he is participating in COE. Last year, he didn’t make the cut to the top 30, but he feels proud of being able to reach this level again this year. In the future, he wants to continue delivering quality coffee to his buyers and maintaining a standard that allows him to be part of the COE winners again.
