Jose Olivia began his journey in coffee by witnessing the legacy of hard work and commitment that his family, as third-generation producers, brought to the farm. This inspired him to become an agronomist, majoring in agronomy science. During this time, he developed a special interest in sustainability and green practices for managing farms. He implemented these ideals across the farm, using shade trees to protect the coffee plants and serve as natural barriers against erosion. Additionally, he introduced composting techniques and irrigation systems to further enhance the sustainability of his land. For Jose, the most important aspect of the future is the legacy he is building as a coffee producer for his sons, who are now beginning to join him on this journey. He strives to teach them to always pursue excellence while ensuring they also prioritize caring for and protecting the environment.
